Summer Fun, Something's Begun...

It was so hot today that I filled up one of our laundry baskets and made a little 'pool' for Eli to play in. He really liked playing with the hose. He was fascinated by the shapes and forms of the water as it came out of the hose.

He found the toilet paper...

Uh oh - Eli found the toilet paper. He had a ball dragging it around the house and ripping it to shreds. Whenever I come after him, he squeals, hides his face and tries to crawl away. I fear he will be one of those kids running away from their parents.

No!

Eli is so cute! About a month ago, he learned how to shake his head "no." One night at dinner when we asked if he was done, he kept shaking his head "no".

Spring has Sprung

I needed to do some pictures for Mother's Day, and I never took any photos of Eli in his Easter outfit, so here are a few that work for both:

A little cat food never hurt anyone, right?

Many of the moms I know are so good. They sterilize their kid's toys when they fall on the ground or when another kid slobbers on them. I just can't seem to do that - I think it's an accomplishment when (if) I remember to wipe them off.

So when I heard a clatter in the kitchen and found Eli dumping the cat food all over, was I a responsible mom and picked him up and cleaned the mess? No, I got the camera because it was so darn funny. These will be good blackmail pictures when he's older (along with the naked bum ones).

Ewwwwwwe!

Brian serves in the stake Young Men's presidency, so we got to help organize youth conference this year. I was the photographer for the weekend. But it was Brian who got this awesome shot:

One of the challenges was to eat increasingly gross things Fear Factor style, the climax of which were these live crickets. I would never do that. Ewwwwwe!

Photo Session

Brian's brother, Fred, just got a promotion to manage the photo department at Walgreen's, which means he is in charge of marketing. Yay Fred! So I agreed to take some photos of Eli for upcoming holidays. If anyone is in the Heber City Walgreen's - look for photos of Eli. Here's some shots I took in his old-fashioned overalls.

And here's a couple I took for graduation:
