Tara and Colton

I am so behind on my blogging! I have several photo shoots to post and I will have some news about my business website and logo that I will be announcing soon. So keep a look out - good news to come... :p

Anyways, a little while ago I had the opportunity to do a couple's shoot with Tara and Colton in Old Town Pasadena. They are so sweet and loving to one another, which I think shows through in their photos. I love that they have fun together and make each other laugh. Their interactions come so naturally, even with me taking a million photos.

Impromptu Photo Shoot

While we were on vacation with the Cunninghams and the Swarts, we had a little impromptu photo shoot. We traveled about thirty minutes to church, and on the way I saw these beautiful fields of yellow flowers. So after church, they were up for a photo shoot for some engagement type shots for my portfolio.

After the couples' shoot, I took a few pictures of Eli in the field. He's my little cutie pie.

Johnathan was so nice to offer to take a few of me and Brian. I realized we haven't taken many pictures of us together since Eli was born.

Shaver Lake

Our friends, the Cunninghams, invited us to their family's lake house over the holiday weekend along with the Swarts. Their cabin is at Shaver Lake, which is near Fresno. It is a beautiful mountain cabin and pretty big too. We had a fun weekend going to the lake and taking the wave runners out. Even though it took me a little while to get used to them, I'm so glad I did. It was fun to splash around and jump the wakes. Eli had fun on the beach, playing on the sand. He didn't really want to be near the water, which was fine for me so I didn't have to worry about him.

Starting School

My nephew, Liam, started Kindergarten last week. I went with Kathy, my sister-in-law, to pick him up from his first day of school. He was so excited; he had so much enthusiasm, showing us his classroom - where he sat, the activities and his teacher. Here are a few photos:

It's Fun to be One!

A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated Eli's first birthday with a small party. It was so hot that we decided to have a swim party. They are all so little, it was more of a wading pool/splashing party, but at least it helped keep everyone cool. Eli had a blast! He dived right into the wading pools with no fear, and kept himself busy running all around the sprinkler toys. I was glad he didn't get overwhelmed or cranky, which I've heard happens a lot with one year old parties.

A couple of days after his birthday, we had a small celebration with some Stroller Strides friends. This time Eli got to have two big cookies. He's so spoiled.
